How Do I Coach?
What can I do FOR YOU?
Can you remember a time when you were at your absolute best? When everything around you just fell into place and you felt the thrill of reaching your peak performance? Would you like to be able to tap into that state and perform at that level regardless of the situation you are in? The power of the mind is incredible, but if you let it take control it’s like trying to ride a stallion bareback; you ride round in circles until you are kicked off and trampled into the ground. If you can learn to understand it, to keep it calm when you need it to relax, and to put reins on it and ride it like a when you need it to perform, then you are no longer waiting for chance, but taking the reins of your own potential and driving yourself to your limit. Performance coaching trains your brain, so you can utilize your ultimate potential!
Addicted to cigarettes? Chocolate? Pornography? Alcohol? Drugs? Sex? No judgement here, I’ve had my fair share of addictions. The question is, how much is it affecting your life? Does your addiction damage your health? Career? Relationships? Would you be a better person without that addiction? The good news is, there is no addiction that is impossible to get over, even though it may seem that way at the moment. An addiction is simply a neurochemical process that happens in your brain, one that, with the right re-wiring and a positive habit to replace it with, can become a distant memory. Even if you’re not sure just yet, take a leap of faith, contact me and let me help you understand just how simple it can be to take control of your life and become the person you would like to be.
Is there someone you care about or need to deal with, but can’t quite seem to make it work? There is no doubt that relationships can be complex and some people can seem impossible to deal with. Perhaps they don’t listen, or get angry, or are unreasonable, or don’t understand you. Whether it’s a relationship with your boss, parent, colleague or friend, we cannot control them but we can control how we react to their behavior, and how we feel. We often blame others for making us feel a certain way, “He makes me so angry!” or “She drives me crazy!” or “Why do they always make me feel inferior?” It’s not your fault that you feel the way you do, but you do have to deal with it. Relationship coaching is about helping you finding a way of relating where you keep your integrity, and learn to understand why others behave the way they do, not so that you can change it, but so that you can find a way of feeling peaceful regardless of how others treat you. When you can do that, you’ll find, the person will start to treat you differently, and you’ll be empowered to be yourself.
As your coach I help clarify your goals, give you the mental tools to achieve them and keep you accountable to actually get there. I do not tell you what to do, but rather help you see your situation from new perspectives in order to find answers and solutions that feel right to you. (Psycho)Therapists deal with psychological issues such as trauma, depression and mental illness. I do not work with these issues and will refer clients who I think may have them before I start working with them. Consultants are experts in a certain industry and are hired to do work for you. I guide you through an experiential process during the session, but make no mistake, you do the work out outside the session yourself. Mentors have a wealth of experience in a specific area and give you suggestions based on their own experience. As a coach I don’t need to have experienced what you are looking to achieve as my expertise is in the process of change and helping you to be at your best so that you find your own answers rather than telling you what I think you should do.
The simple answer is – you don’t until you try it! Coaching, at least the way I do it, is experiential. I can tell you about it, but you won’t know what it is really like until you experience it. Before you experienced having a child or making love you may have heard what it was like, but you didn’t really understand until you had the experience yourself. Everyone I have coached has come away with some benefit, some that left them just enjoying life more and some that made a complete 180 and had a life changing experience. The most important factor in how well the coaching goes for you is your level of commitment. Are you committed to make a change? If so, reach out for a free trial, I’m sure I can help!
